"the last great american dynasty"是泰勒絲第8張新專輯《Folklore》裡，我最喜歡的三首歌之其中一首。這首歌是根據Rebekah Harkness和她先生William的愛情故事作詞而成，Rebekah是個備受爭議的社交名媛，過去住在名人圈羅德島上的房子，而泰勒絲在2013年買下了她稱之為"度假小屋"的房子。所以聽著這首歌的歌詞就好像讀著一篇短篇故事般。下方照片左邊是泰勒絲，右邊是Rebekah Harkness。
"the last great american dynasty" is one of my 3 favorite songs from Swift's eighth album folklore. It is based on the love story between Rebekah Harkness and her husband William. Rebekah is the controversial socialite who used to live in the pop star's Rhode Island mansion and Swift purchased her house so called Holiday House back in 2013. Hence, singing the lyrics is just like reading a short story. In the photo below, Swift is on the left, and Rebekah is on the right.
